StartDock Herengracht Herengracht - Amsterdam

The large, heavy vault in the basement betrays the original identity of this building. Years ago, you could find piles of cash, diamonds and ancient relics of incomprehensible value from ABN-AMRO bank clients. Today, you can find a Chesterfield sofa and a foosball table. We have a slightly different interpretation of the use of this room than originally intended. We kept the stately look of the building, including the chandelier, but replaced the stilted natural inhabitants with a bunch of colorful and lively entrepreneurs.

The Herengracht is mostly home to early career entrepreneurs, freelancers and small start-ups. There is a great deal of solidarity within the community and the lounge is always full during the shared lunch. Everyone feels comfortable sharing knowledge and helping each other out at informal or internal events. Everywhere you look, you'll find someone who wants to help you grow, so when you're stuck, there's always a knowledgeable coworker.
