Mitte is hip and Mitte is dense. But there is still development potential on the northern edge of the district, in the Brunnenviertel, an area that could hardly be more ideally located: between the Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn station, the legendary Bernauer Strasse, Mauerpark, surrounded by the Mitte district and the neighboring Prenzlauer Berg district.

In recent years, rents here have risen by almost 15 percent, one of the highest in Berlin. Nevertheless, housing is still affordable compared to the neighboring districts. This is what makes the Brunnenkiez so attractive, alongside the many art galleries that have set up shop here.

Especially for families, for whom there are daycare centers and schools as well as green courtyards and two large parks in the immediate vicinity.

Brunnenstrasse, the district's main shopping street, together with the Gesundbrunnencenter, also offers excellent local amenities and excellent transport links. Also interesting as an office location: just around the corner on Rheinsberger Strasse, the internet giant Google, SoundCloud, Zendesk, Uber and Twitter already have their offices in the "Factory" Berlin.
